We take credit cards only for the deposit, not the full amount. We can accept a credit card for the full amount with a service charge.
We require a 10% deposit up front, 40% when we begin work, and then the remaining balance is due upon completion.
Depending on the deck it can take a few days to a few weeks. With weather and other obstacles, the start date and completion date are unknown but we’re not going anywhere until it’s done.
Typically we return all calls within 24 hours. We will set an appointment at your earliest convenience. Our estimates consist of two visits, the first is to take pictures, discuss the design, and take measurements. The second is to show you the finished design and give a proposal.
Absolutely not! American Deck & Sunroom wants to see each of our customers have a great experience when buying a custom deck, so it’s a no-pressure call. We will leave our details with you after our proposal and you can call us only if you’re interested. We won’t ever hassle you or try to haggle with you.
Absolutely. We only have two rules: our designs will look like they belong with the architecture of the house, and we build anything but square decks. Our goal is to go beyond what you’ve dreamed to create a unique space unlike any other.
We welcome it! If you have photos, ideas, or even sketches, we want your input. We simply want to design and build a better outdoor life for you and your family.
Treated lumber does well in shady areas, under trees, and the north side of houses. If your deck is well shaded, staining would be required about every 3-4 years. If it’s covered or under a roof, it might only need staining every 10 years. Harsh sunlight takes its toll on decks, so annual staining may be required.
If your deck gets constant sunlight and exposure, composite might be a good option. Composite materials will almost double the cost of your deck, so another option might be to build a roof or covered area. Ask us about the pricing difference.
With proper maintenance, our custom decks will last a lifetime.
