Lexington & Louisville Kentucky – Custom Deck Solutions & More

Home / Custom Decks / Lexington & Louisville Kentucky – Custom Deck Solutions & More

American Deck & Sunroom strives to give each of our customers a sense of place that is simply theirs. That feeling of home is more than a structure, more than a building, and definitely more than just wood, cement, and bricks. We know that feeling, and we know that our customers aren’t just buying top quality wood — they are buying a place for their children to enjoy and grow, a sense of belonging, or a place to start anew. They may pay for a builder’s expertise, but they have in mind good friends sharing a bottle of wine and a quiet evening under the stars around a slowly burning fire. We work tirelessly to bring custom decks and other custom architectural additions to the heart of beautiful Lexington, Kentucky decks.

Our clean, professional crews plan and build from the ground up, with your best interests and previous construction always in mind. We work closely alongside our clients in order to help make your visions a beautiful, custom reality. A new addition from American Deck & Sunroom is carefully designed and developed in order to blend seamlessly with your existing architecture.

And because we specialize, we go beyond the, “If you can dream it, we can build it,” catchphrase often quoted. After nearly 20 years in business and nearly 13,000 designs and counting, we have the experience to design outdoor spaces you’ve never even dreamed possible. An American Deck & Sunroom Company project will always add beauty and function to your home, and become the place where everyone will want to gather.

We’ve mentioned in previous blog posts the numerous services we offer, our ability to tackle custom deck projects here in Lexington, and how each custom piece is designed to accommodate more additions if requested. Our goal at American Deck & Sunroom is to help you to make your house a dream home by constructing the unique pieces of your overall puzzle.

However, seeing is believing, and pictures are worth a thousand words. The following photos come from a blogger named Carmel living here in Lexington, in the heart of the Bluegrass. She recently revealed her completed American Deck & Sunroom screened porch/deck on her blog, Our Fifth House.

Her old deck was almost 30 years old, and was in need of some major repair. Carmel and her family realized that they would probably use the area a lot more if it were screened, and had in fact always dreamed of having a house with a screened outdoor space that could house a dining room and living room. Of course, we love making dreams come true, so we were ready to tackle the job!

Because the new custom space is solely yours to enjoy, we love working alongside our customers to receive input about their new architectural addition. Carmel had sketched out plans in advance…

Carmel mentions on her blog that she loves arranging furniture, and since the footprint of the new custom deck is a rectangle, it allows her to set up two different areas in one space, which she couldn’t do with her previous construction. After the plans were finalized, American Deck and Sunroom set to work.

Opting for a screened porch means that she and her family don’t have to worry about pesky bugs buzzing around and interrupting precious quality time with her loved ones, but they can still enjoy the sunshine and outdoor noises on their custom deck. With her fantastic taste and eye for design, she furnished the area into an even more beautiful, cozy space that she and her family can enjoy for many, many years to come.

The new space is a warm, comfortable, and private lounging/dining area that protects from the elements but opens the room up to sunshine and breezes.

The addition of windows into the custom covered area means that natural light streaming into the space is increased, adding more warmth while at the same time it is shaded from the full force of the sun by the roof.

Whether we are banishing dull, grey concrete with a new paver patio that will complement your home’s furnishings and color scheme, putting up a new custom deck (that is anything but square), or adding a roof and screen to a custom deck, we’ve literally got you covered. We install windows, doors, ceiling fans, and more. We pay close attention to detail and put great pride into each and every one of our completed works.

With locations in Knoxville, Springfield, Champaign, Bloomington, Louisville, Lexington, and Peoria, over 20 years in the business, and nearly 13,000 designs and counting, we definitely have the experience to design outdoor spaces you’ve never even dreamed possible. We have also successfully completed custom projects from Arkansas to Rhode Island, and from Dallas to Green Bay. But don’t just take our word for it. Our best credentials remain our list of completely satisfied customers, like Carmel and her family.
